Meols is a village on the north coast of the Wirral peninsula, facing the Irish Sea, and is home to a small yacht and fishing community. Recently I spent a great couple of hours down on the beach, getting my feet wet and taking shots of the boats. (Note-to-self…..I must heed my wife’s advice and invest in some wellies).
You will have no doubt noticed that the eight shots above only actually feature two boats. There were a number of others lying on the beach or moored in the tidal channel that takes them out to sea, but in all seriousness (without suitable attire) most weren’t easily accessible. The tide hadn’t long gone out, so the sand was very soft in places and the landscape covered with small pools and rivulets of water left behind by the sea.
